The Sport for Development Coalition will host a series of weekly drop-in sessions online during March to consult and support its members around the first anniversary of the #OpenGoal framework on April 6th.
#OpenGoal is a Shared Advocacy Framework which aims to highlight the contribution of targeted sport and physical activity-based interventions to a number of national policy priorities, such as reducing crime and youth unemployment, and building social cohesion.
The 30min drop-in sessions will take place online every Thursday (1200-1230 GMT) in the build up to April 6th, which also marks the UN's International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (#IDSDP).
Click one of the links below to sign up for a session (note there is no need to attend more than one):
- Thursday 2nd March (1200-1230 GMT)
- Thursday 9th March (1200-1230 GMT)
- Thursday 16rd March (1200-1230 GMT)
- Thursday 23rd March (1200-1230 GMT)
- Thursday 30th March (1200-1230 GMT)
Coalition members, and any UK-based organisations using sport to generate positive health, societal and environmental outcomes, are encouraged to attend one of the sessions.
During each session, attendees will be provided with a brief overview of the #OpenGoal framework and its purpose in building advocacy and winning investment for the sector, and asked for their input and feedback on the campaign. Both in the build-up to April 6th and on the day, Coalition members are being encouraged to showcase and share how their organisations support #OpenGoal outcomes, thus contributing to the Coalition's growing UK-wide momentum and impact.
